Going forward, spam threads will be locked.

Dear heisters,

At the moment, there are over 13,000 threads in the General Discussions alone. Now I know there is a lot to talk about, but a lot of the threads that we are seeing – and have been seeing for some time – are reposts of a repost of a repost.

If it continues like this, we will have a OVERKILL 145+ difficulty in the forums as well, which is a bad thing in this case.

Keeping reposts to a minimum
From now on me along with the moderators will start closing threads and ask OP along with the other posters to please continue the discussion in previously posted threads on the same subject.

What does that mean for you?
It means that you will have a cleaner forum and have all discussion regarding a specific subject directed in a few posts instead of many, hopefully increasing the quality of the discussion as well as reducing the spam on the forum boards. Will it be better instantly? Probably not, but in time, it will.
