The PAYDAY 2 beta is LIVE!

Restart Steam if it hasn’t started downloading.

General
The beta is released today and will continue up until the release of PAYDAY 2 in August. It will contain 7 playable missions over 11 levels. In PAYDAY 2 missions are called “jobs”. These sometime span over several levels, called “days”. For example, the Rats job is 3 days long.

One of the playable missions is the safe house. Bain has invited you to your new safe house in Washington D.C. There, he will get you up to date on what’s what since you last worked together.

Heists

The Watchdogs Job (2 day job)
The Bank Heist: Deposit Job (1 day job)
The Bank Heist: Cash (1 day job)
The Rats Job (3 day job)
The Jewelry store Job (1 day job)
The Four stores Job (1 day job)

Reputation Level cap
You will be able to gain the maximum level of 25. You will be free to invest skill points earned in any way you choose. You can reset both the in-game profile and the skill points at any time.

Character Progression
Character progression will not be saved after release. The beta profiles will be reset when the beta is over. We will explain this to the community in the game hub and ask them to spread the word of mouth.

Beta Play Time
You will be able to play the beta up until release. We will then proceed to remove access to the beta and reset any created profiles.
