STATE OF THE ART – Update 42
On the ninth day of Crimefest, we visit a familiar venue under the order of the Elephant and the supervision of Bain. We also feel very next-gen and introduce the ability to play during either day or night on three heists.
Protect Hector’s coke during the night
Get that coke out of there in a romantic setting
Bring anarchy to the sons of OVERKILL during the middle of the night by waking their neighbors

We support the PAYDAY modding community and want to make things easier for you. Not long ago we invited Tatsuto from Last Bullet Gaming and Olipro, the developer of Hoxhud, to sit down and talk about how we can help you guys.
As a first step, we are introducing a way for you to handle your mods.
Mod instructions
1. Create a root folder for your mod inside assetsmod_overrides
2. Place the override files inside your mod’s folder.
Example of a texture and a soundbank being overridden:
assetsmod_overridesgeorge_supermod_v1.01unitspayday2charactersshared_texturesciv_female_1_df.texture
assetsmod_overridesgeorge_supermod_v1.01soundbanksaccomplice_driver_2.bnk
You can override the following file types:
texture, material_config, animation, model, bnk, stream.
In the Start menu, navigate to Options -> Mods.
In the Mods menu you can browse your mods and check for eventual conflicts.
Resources that conflict between mods will be printed in red font.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE MODS, YOU WILL CRASH!
If you “suddenly” crash after the update, it’s because your game is modified. Use the threads in the forum to solve your issue. Uninstall your mods if you can’t start the game or wait until the mod developers have updated the mods to work with the game.
We’ve gotten a lot of crash logs recently that we can’t do anything about because it’s all about mods crashing your games.
If you have tampered with your game files, you’ve done so at your own risk knowing that it will affect your software.
As a last resort, e-mail us directly.
